SimpliSafe has a variety of security cameras and sells whole systems that provide all-over home protection. For this review, we focused on the outdoor camera as we feel these are the most important in scaring intruders away.
The SimpliSafe outdoor camera received very positive reviews for its sleek design, wide field of view, and hotspot feature. The two-way communication was also very clear and easily understood by delivery drivers and solicitors who visited our reviewer's homes - yes, we had them interview their visitors on quality :-)
The main complaint for SimpliSafe was the monthly subscription fees which at the time of publishing are $9.99/month for just you monitoring the cameras and $17.99/month if you have them professionally monitored. That’s $120 a year just to run the cameras!
